Introducing Fit.Fun.Femme + Say It Do It

Hello blog world! This is our first official blog post at Fit.Fun.Femme and we’re so excited we can’t stand it.

Before I dive into our plans for the blog, a little introduction is in order. We are Sara Wiles (me!) and Natalie Scruton…two Florida chicks who met by chance (we think it was fate) at a dog park in North Carolina. We love fitness, dogs (especially rescues), food (especially cheese) and lots of other things that we will share over the course of this blog.

We’re just getting our feet wet with this whole blog thing right now, so here are our current plans:

Sunday – Say It, Do It – Natalie

Monday – Say It, Do It – Sara

Worldless Wednesday – Both

Thursday – Random (training updates, gear, races/goals, etc.) – Both

Natalie is a runner with 4 half marathons under her belt, one sub 2 hours! She also loves yoga (especially Bikram) and Pure Barre. She lives in Chicago with her pup Abby and man, Jules.

I am a runner with 3 half marathons under my belt, almost one sub-2…so close but so far! I also love yoga (currently doing a Hatha yoga teacher training), anything that makes me sweat and have recently started lifting weights. I live in Atlanta with my pup, Rocky and husband, Ben.

Now on to today’s post, Say It, Do It. Full disclosure, we borrowed this idea from one of our favorite blogs, Fit Chick In The City. We love the idea and know that when you say it (or write it down in our case) and hold your self accountable, you are way more likely to run, walk, go to yoga/the gym/barre class/whatever gets you going. So, we’re starting with ourselves and encouraging you to do the same. We think it’s a pretty awesome New Years Resolution.

Say It, Do It – Week of January 7th, 2013

Monday – Run 3 miles + Fitnessista’s Ab Video

Tuesday – 6:00 AM yoga + 6:30 PM yoga + lift

Wednesday – Run 3 miles

Thursday – Volleyball (on a local co-ed team)

Friday – Run 4 miles + 4:30 PM yoga + lift

Saturday – Yoga Teacher Training

Sunday – Hot Chocolate 5K + Yoga Teacher Training
